                                       Proper Sizing

The top of your canegrabber should reach to the crease in your wrist when you stand up straight.. 

                                Positioning

Hold the canegrabber in the hand opposite the affected side.

                                    Walking

When walking, the canegrabber and your affected side move at the same time. To begin, place your canegrabber about one small step ahead and start off on your affected side.

Remember to hold your canegrabber on your unaffected side

                                      Stairs

To climb stairs, use a handrail (when possible) and step up with your good side first, Holding your canegrabber in the hand opposite the affected side, step up with the affected side.

To come downstairs, place your canegrabber on the step first, then your affected side and finally,  the good side,  which carries your body weight.

 Consult your physician on the proper use of any assistive aide device for your specific needs.
